Hohner Echo Elite

I’ve recently had three musical instruments that once belonged to my maternal grandfather handed down to me, by my aunt Joanne, who had been keeping custody of them for many years. The first, which I received last Thanksgiving, is a Hohner Echo Elite, probably manufactured in Germany sometime between the late 1930s and mid-1940s, classified by Harmonica Collectors International as “extremely scarce”.

This is not a blog, nor is it even an ironic commentary on the washed-up blog literary genre. Nevertheless, it could be a close enough approximation to serve as an adequate substitute for the blog that I occasionally told people would be forthcoming Real Soon Now. A crisis occurred back in December, when Tom Marble actually wrote in his blog that he was looking forward to mine. I therefore truly hoped to have something started before FOSDEM (where I met Tom in person for the first time), but, yes, I failed. So here it is, a couple of weeks or years late. Except not really.
